After a week of record breaking heat, Cyclone Iggy delivered some much needed cool weather and rain. Most importantly though, she also provided a day of grinding Kirra-esque barrels to a beach I was sure I wouldn't be shooting any time soon. Between Iggy and Bianca, we've had two 'once in a generation' north swells in just over a year, crazy!

Just spent a few weeks down south reliving what it's like to be a grom. All day in the water, sand everywhere and tanlines that would worry any self respecting sunscreener. In between all that I shot some photos too, heres a tease.

Happy (early) New Years! I've been working on my new site, it's still a little ways off launching but I'll be living in Margs for Jan and Feb so hopefully that promotes productivity. Seeya in 2012.

Went down south to check out the fire damage yesterday. Pretty heavy seeing written off houses and areas usually thick with trees and bush completely burnt through. Above is one image of the damage and some local appreciation for the efforts of firefighters.

This past week's water temps, sunny skies and south winds hinted toward the oncoming summer. The waves however, felt a lot like mid-winter.

Currently in the process of creating a new website and as a result going through a lot of random images from the past year which I originally overlooked. The three above are of Luke Delfs, a guy who is up there with my favourite riders to shoot, particularly at North Point. These were shot in the space of one hour on a bumpy winter's afternoon.

Biggest swell with clean winds I've ever seen yesterday. Massive waves were breaking from out to sea and cleaning up the whole bay at Gracetown, but in between them were perfect 10ft waves with not a soul out, on a Sunday

of all days.
